Northwich Anglers Association is a long-established angling club based in Northwich, Cheshire, with a rich history dating back to 1913. Originally formed as Northwich Joint Anglers by a consortium of local clubs, the association adopted its current name in the 1970s after the final club from the original group disbanded. Throughout its history, the club has focused on providing diverse fishing opportunities across the Vale Royal area for its growing membership.
The association manages an extensive portfolio of waters, including nine miles of the River Weaver, four miles of the River Dane, and sixteen miles of the Trent & Mersey Canal. Members also gain access to 12 stunning stillwaters in the Northwich area, including Budworth Mere, Eaton Bank Pools, Big and Little Billinge, Pickmere, Vale Royal Pool, and several others, offering a mix of pleasure and specimen fishing.
It is a members-only association, with no day tickets available, and the range of categories ensures anglers of all ages and circumstances can join. Categories include Senior, Senior & Partner, Senior Citizen, Junior and Under-12s, as well as spectator and night fishing options. Memberships are valid for one year, running to 31 March, and there is no joining fee for new members. Applications can be made online, in person at the club office, or through local tackle shops, making it straightforward to join or renew.
