Warrington Anglers Association is one of the largest and most established angling clubs in the North West of England, offering members access to an extensive range of fishing waters across the region. Based in Warrington, the association provides anglers with a wide variety of venues including rivers, canals and well-stocked stillwaters, making it a popular choice for those looking for diverse fishing opportunities under a single membership.
The association controls a substantial portfolio of fisheries, including approximately 33 miles of canal fishing, many miles of river fishing across several major catchments, and more than 160 acres of lakes and pools. These waters extend across parts of Cheshire, Lancashire and neighbouring counties, giving members the opportunity to explore different venues and fishing styles throughout the year.
River fisheries within the association include waters in the Severn, Dee, Dove, Derwent and Ribble catchments, with additional fishing available on the River Wye. The club also manages a number of well-known stillwaters that cater for both pleasure anglers and those targeting larger specimen fish, including Grey Mist Mere, Moore Quarry, Woodshaw Reservoir and Sandiway Lakes.
Fishing on all association waters is restricted to members, and day tickets are not available, helping maintain the quality of the fisheries. Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December, with categories including Junior (under 16), Intermediate (16–18), Senior and Ladies memberships, along with optional permits for night fishing and club keys.
